The Syrian civil war does not affect me in any way. The only way in which it may affect me is when I hear about it on the news, or when I'm typing this comment. But it doesn't really affect me or my personal life.

How does the Syrian Civil War affect your life?
The Syrian Civil War barely affects me, seeing as the Netherlands is not actively involved in the conflict and neither am I. Though I agree with Iris, we are constantly reminded of it by the news and social media.
It doesn't affect my life since We are located far from te conflict and the Netherlands isnt involved.
Re:
How about now
Indirectly
The Syrian conflict does not directly influency my daily life, but indirectly, there are big consequences.
First of all, the Netherlands has to deal with many refugees coming to our country. We have to feed them and give them shelter. I do not mind that at all, but it affects us because we have to pay for it.
Also, the "International Coalition" is active in Syria in the war against ISIL. We are not fighting there ourselves, but we largely contribute financially and we do logistics. ISIL wants to take revenge on all countries that fight them. We must not forget the innocent men, women children that were killed or hostaged in Paris.
Finally, there are big potential dangers. ISIL, an extremist "Islamic" organization is active in Syria, which borders Israel, a Jewish state. As you can imagine, Israel will not appreciate ISIL warriors crossing their border into the Jewish lands. It would result in war with on one side one of the strongest armies on the planet (Israel is a nuclear power!) and on the other side one of the best trained terrorist organizations ever. If a war started between Israel and ISIL, more countries would get involved and then we could speak about a world war.
So yes, the Syrian conflict affects us, and it might affect us even more in the future.
The Syrian civil war does not influence my life directly, however hearing stories about Western people travelling to syria to join the fight, sound horrific.
The war is also attracting more and more Syrians from other countries to start fighting there. Which means that the conflict is expanding and that results in a longer conflict
Re:
I'm not really effected by this war, but it does make me think about the humanity. I mea,n, it seem like all humans can do is making war
It only make me think... It influences my thoughts about people, behaviour and conflicts. However it has not really influenced my life.
The war has not directly influenced my life yet. However, the news and social media are always reminding you of the fact that the war is moving closer and closer towards Europe, which makes me think about it often.
I agree with all the people who have left a comment above me. Because we live in the Netherlands we aren't in direct contact with anything revolving around this conflict. However, I sometimes am afraid that extremist islamists will attempt a terroristic attack on the West. There are a number of people who go to Syria and return back to Europe. These people might have been trained by terrorist groups like Al Qaida and be dangerous to our society.
It has not directly influenced my life yet, but we can all see that it is moving closer and that the Western countries will probably suffer more in the near future. IS may, or might have already, plan even more terrorist attacks which causes a lot of fear among us. That also scares me a lot since it has become so agressive.
It does not really affect my life in a physical way, since I live in The Netherlands. However it does in a mental way kinda, it makes me think about the conflict, about the people involved and the refugees, which I would not have thought about in the same way if the Syrian conflict hadn't happened.

So far as I have noticed, the Syrian civil has not directly influenced my life. But I do think that the IS will influence the Western countries in the future. Especially with what is going on right now. The IS might plan more terroristic attacks on western countries, especially because some of the countries are trying to stop them. The IS has created a big hatred towards the west and we might notice that in the future.
The Syrian civil war doesn't direct my life directly, however since Syria has major oil reserves, it might in the future. now a days the oil price is very low, but at a certain moment it will go up again and if the conflict is still going on oil prices may sky-rocket it a new all-time high (although this is very unlikely) and the taxes might go up since the importing of oil has become to expensive.
Not at all
The Syrian civil war has not affected my life in a way that I can notice it, since the Netherlands is not greatly involved in the conflict.
