Who's involved

The Syrian government is helped by several other powers. The Syrian government is directly supported by Iran, Hezbollah, Ba'ath Brigades, Liwa Abu al-Fadhal al-Abbas, Jaysh al-Muwahhideen, the Syrian Resistance, the Arab Nationalist Guard and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command. The Syrian government is armed by Russia and North Korea. Opposing the Syrian government there is the anti-government opposition. The opposition consists of the Islamic Front, the Free Syrian Army, al-Nusra Front, the Syrian Revolutionary Command Council, the Supporters of the Religion Front and Muhajirin wa-Ansar Alliance. The opposition is armed by the USA, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Libya.
